Drug Free Looks Like Me! Red Ribbon spirit week continues! Tomorrow dress up with your friend or staff member for twin day! Friday get your Geneva gear ready for Geneva spirit wear Friday!

 

Candy grams can be purchased all week long in the library in the morning! They will be $.50/1 or $2.00/5. Treats will be passed out Friday, October 29.

 

Numbers are in for the second day of collecting canned goods for Shepperd’s Heart Food Pantry! Top collector is 8W with 506 items! 6B-363, 8B-136, 7W-116, 7B-77, and 6W-11. We are almost halfway there with a total of 1209 items! There is still plenty of time to help your team win the prize!   

 

Halloween movie night will be Friday, October 29. Come to the cafeteria after school to watch the new Disney movie, Cruella! It is free to come but you can bring some money if you would like to purchase snacks during the film. Be sure to have a ride ready afterward or take the 5:20 activity bus home! 

 

Epic Air Intramural will be Thursday, November 11th! Meet in the guidance office at 3:30 to be bused from GMSS. You will need to be picked up from Epic Air at 6:20. Cost is $15.00 and includes 2 hours of activity and socks. Space is limited so be sure to get your permission slips in early! You can pick one up in the main office.

 

Picture Re-take day is tomorrow during lunches. If you are a new student, missed last picture day, or want to re-take your photo head to the green room during your lunch time.

 

Variety Show auditions take tomorrow after school in the cafeteria.  If you forgot to sign up, just show up after school. See Mr. Japlon in 7 White if you have any questions.

 

Attention all Gamers!  Mark your calendars because Viking Gamer Club's next 7th and 8th grade meeting will take place this Friday from 3:30-5:20.

 

Reminder that Geneva Middle School South’s first annual Turkey Trot is Saturday, November 13. Permission slips and money are due by tomorrow in the main office.

 

Keep calm come to the library for lunch today to play some #teentober games. Who will win top honors? Come earn some tickets for some raffles on Friday. You'll have a fang-tastic time.

 

The 7th grade A boys basketball team traveled to Herget for the opening game of the season.  The Vikings got out to a quick lead with 23 points in the first quarter and continued the great shooting and defense throughout the Viking dominated game.  Tate Beran led the Vikings stout defense, allowing 0 points in the second half. Mason Breusch’s sneaky 17 points and David Udoiwoods 14 points paced the Vikings scoring outburst.  Every player on the team had at least 4 points.  The Vikings take on Washington in Thursdays home opener.  Come out and support the team! 

 

The 8th grade A boys basketball team had their home opener last night against Herget.   They couldn’t pull off a win after keeping it close.  Alec Graham led the team in scoring. 

 

Aurora Herget must have hit the snooze or didn’t have their morning cup of Joe because the 8th grade B team dominated last night and cruised to an easy victory. Tommy Lyons led with his tenacious defense, Ben Barton had some sweet steals and Henry Boraca was a beast in the post.
