So, stop into Target, Walmart, Walgreens or any store that sells toys and pick up a little something to cheer up a child who is spending the holidays in the hospital.

After a tough second quarter, the 8th grade boys’ A basketball team battled back in the second half.  Colin Sprague, Hayden Vostal, and Grant Fischer were relentless on offense and defense as the trio helped pull South back to within 6 points.  Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, and the team fell to Batavia.

The 8th grade B team had a very exciting back and forth game.  Cam Sexton and Josh Fuetch made some huge shots in the 1st half and Kaden Modjeski hit a big 3 in the second half.  The Vikings came up 1 basket short of tying the game.

The 7th grade A team played their final home game last night against Rotolo Gold.  Though the Vikings started out slow, the defense and Jayden Hodgdon’s 8 first quarter points led the charge in the comeback and they never looked back.  The Vikings were led to a 33-point victory by Brady McMillen’s brilliant point guard play, Finn Weppner picking pockets, Anish Buddarjau’s 16 points, Jayden Hodgdon’s 11 points and Ethan Gronberg’s intensity and 10 points.  The South Vikings are looking to make some noise in the conference tournament starting Tuesday.

The wrestling team competed against Batavia last night.

Varsity Winners Ruben Jimenez and Zack Barnard

JV Winners Tyler Hogan, Myles Keenan, Jackson Griebel and Logan Weber
