The 7th grade A team took on Washington last night at home.  The Vikings held a 6-point lead at half before exploding for 30 second half points and winning by 27.  Anish Buddaraju’s 13 points, Ethan Gronbergs 10 points, and Jayden Hodgdon’s 9 points and tough defense led the Vikings on their second half run.  The Vikings take on the enemies from the North on Thursday.  Wear Blue and come out to North and support your South Vikings!

The 7th grade Boys Basketball B team won in a convincing fashion on Tuesday night, defeating Aurora Washington 32-15.  "Spice" Adams led the squad with 8 points.  Danny Davis scored 5 points (including a huge three-pointer) and Ryan Kelly added 4.  Tremendous hustle and aggressive defense really made the difference in this lopsided victory for the Vikings.  Next up for South is a rivalry week matchup against Geneva Middle School North.

The brooms were out as the 8th grade boys’ A basketball team completed the clean sweep against Aurora Washington last night.  Max Keller led the team with a couple 3 burgers, Liam ODonoghue was fired up on the offensive end, and Max Keller capped the night with a nice floater.  Every boy on the team scored a bucket as the A team captured the W with a 20-point victory.

The 8th grade boys’ B team got off to slow start last night against Washington, but came in out the second half on fire.  Chase Sorrentino and Drew Peters helped extend the Vikings lead with some key defensive plays.  The Vikings went on to win handily.

Good luck to the 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders at their showcase tonight! Girls remember to be ready for the bus at 3:40!
