7th Grade Volleyball ended their season last night with some very exciting games. The “A” team played their best game of the year, with strong passes led by Sophia Broderick, serving led by Addy Kling, and net play led by Ellie Grantcharov, Adelaide Evans and Kaitlyn Sprague. The “A” team rallied from a six-point deficit to tie the game at 25-25, but sadly fell just short of victory.

The 7th grade “B” team came out strong in their game last night. Overall the “B” team showed off impressive play. Standout passes from Callie Zibble, serves by Chloe Koster, and serve receive from Lillian Hallahan made for a very exciting game. The “B” girls had long rallies and great teamwork, but sadly did not pull out the victory.

Congrats to the 8th grade volleyball program on an awesome season! The hard work and progress that was made over the last 8 weeks was so exciting to watch! Last night we lost in 3 in a battle with Yorkville but had some great plays. Special shout outs to Kayla Shultz for running a strong offense, Charlotte Potvin and Sela Ilg for their blocking and hitting, Annie Tomko for her great defense and covering.

Great season ladies!

The boys’ cross-country team placed third in conference yesterday in both the Varsity and JV races.  Wyatt Gross and Dom Stolarik finished in 2nd and 3rd in the Varsity race which featured 84 of the best runners from the Two Rivers Conference.  This is the highest finish of two runners from South since Geneva Middle School became North and South.  Grant Fischer also earned a top 15 medal.  In the JV race both Nick Easter and Owen Chandaria earned medals by placing in the top 15.  Coach Krahulec and Coach Hack would like to thank all of the runners for a great season.

The 7th grade football team tried to end their season on a high note but came up short by losing to Prairie Knoll Middle School by a score of 34 -8. Will Pascoli had the lone touchdown for the Vikings and Michael Rumaro capped it off with the 2-point conversion.
