On New Year’s Eve, 1931, New York City audiences entered theaters to watch a film called Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They
knew they were in for something really spooky as soon as the opening credits
began to roll. Toccata and Fugue in D minor played, written by none other
than Johann Sebastian Bach, a German composer who lived from 1685-1750.
