COMMUNITIES

We will be learning about rural, suburban, and urban communities. We will also learn about what it means to be a good citizen who follows the rules and laws.  Changes in our community will also be discussed along with changes in communication and transportation over the years. Learning about the mayor, governor and president as leaders will also be included in this unit. 

OUR PAST

We will learn about the history of the Pilgrims migrating to America. Learning about the voyage on the Mayflower is an exciting part of history that we explore. We will also learn about the origin of the Constitution. This is a unit the children really enjoy! 

ECONOMICS

While studying about economics, we will learn about earning money. We will also learn the differences between wants and needs, goods and services, and spending money.
