The preschool is designed for children ages 3 and 4 and will focus on providing age-appropriate, hands-on activities in an environment that encourages the love of learning.
The Little Vikings Preschool is a laboratory school for our high school Child Development and Early Childhood Education classes. The preschool teachers are high school students who have expressed an interest in working with young children primarily in the fields of education, medicine and social services. We will present a well-planned, developmentally appropriate program to enrich and supplement the child’s home education. We will help your son or daughter develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Mrs. Helfers will be facilitating student’s lesson plan development and implementation of those lessons. There will be a flexible schedule each day which will include: large group (story time and music), small group rotations (no worksheets – all hands-on activities!), outdoor time, free play and a healthy snack. Our high school students will also be earning a Gateways to Opportunity early childhood credential.
Here is some general information about Little Vikings Preschool:
The preschool will meet two days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays according to the high school calendar.
Preschool hours will be from 8:35 A.M - 11:25 A.M starting on September 23rd.
Cost will be $200 per child for the session.
We ask for a $50 deposit to hold your child’s spot. The remaining $150 will be due the 1st day of preschool.
