Sketchbook assignments

September  3; What I did over Summer Vacation.

Illustrate something interesting that you've done over the last Summer Vacation.  If you did not do anything interesting; Lie.  The more creative and outlandish, the better.

September  11;  Pet Chefs

Draw your pet preparing a meal.  If you do not have a current or previous pet to draw, choose a pet you would either like to have or one that would be very funny.  It could be breakfast, lunch or dinner, but it should reflect an unexpected representation of an animal preparing food.

September 18;   Arrrgh, yer be in Art class now, sez me,

No joke, September 19th  is International Talk like a Pirate day. For this week sketchbook, draw your pirate alter ego.  This pirate does not necessarily have to look like you (but CAN!), but should illustrate your persona and attitude.  Using (at least) on sentence (text), introduce/describe your self, in the vernacular of a pirate.  make the text "pirate-like" as well.

September  25;   Chimera

A Chimera is a mash between two disimiliar animals; A Griffin is a blend of an eagle and a lion,  Pegasus is a winged horse.  Mythology is filled with examples. Your sketchbook assignment is to invent and draw a chimera that was not thought of before.
