Class Rules

Be on time.
Cell Phones: Used only for current projects and only with the expressed permission of the teacher. Permission must be requested EVERY time.
Only water, in a clear container is permitted. Carbonated beverages, fruit juices, coffee, tea (anything that is not simply water) may not be consumed in the art room.
Each rule in the GHS handbook applies to the art room.
All art content must be GHS appropriate. When in doubt, ask the teacher.
No guns / firearms are to be in any student art content.
Excessive violence or gore is prohibited in both art content and classroom behavior.
Respect must be shared with fellow students, all opinions (including those that conflict with our own) must be honored. Every student should feel comfortable in expressing themselves without fear of being belittled (be sure that content is GHS appropriate).
Before leaving the classroom - during class time, students will need a (teacher) signed assignment notebook, hall pass, or notice from the Dean's or Main office, as well as signing out on the clipboard beside the entrance. Upon return, students are to document their arrival time.
Socializing is encouraged during studio (work) time, but discouraged during lectures, demos or critiques.
iPods are now permitted during studio time. They are not permitted during lectures, demos or critiques. Music will be played during studio time, but if you have a more inspiring choice, you are allowed to listen through earbuds.
Food is not permitted in the class room.

All infractions will be dealt with swiftly and without mercy.
