Acceleration/ Enrichment

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Geneva School District is committed to a high-quality education program for all students. We believe that all students have individual talents and skills, and that the educational process must provide for differences. District 304’s Acceleration/Enrichment Program provides every child access to the optimal development of his/her intellectual, emotional, and creative potential as well as provides a learning environment that fosters success and the development of a positive self-esteem.

For students participating in this program, Geneva currently has a daily accelerated math and reading replacement program in place in grades 4 and 5, accelerated math and language arts classes in grades 6-8, and honors and AP classes at the high school level. Enrichment opportunities are available at all levels of the program.

A/E PHILOSOPHY
We believe that all students have individual talents and skills, and that the educational process must provide for these differences. The district mission statement adopted by the Board of Education states that:

The Mission of School District #304 is to educate students within an environment that encourages the desire to learn and enhances the teaching skills necessary to meet the unique academic, personal, physical and social needs of each individual. The school program will reflect the values and ambitions of the community, and every student will be challenged to develop intellectual and learning skills to his or her fullest potential, preparing these students to become contributing members of society.

Geneva School District's Acceleration/Enrichment Program provides every child, including those who conceptualize knowledge more readily than their peers, equal access to the optimal development of his/her intellectual, emotional, and creative potential as well as providing a learning environment that fosters success and the development of a positive self-esteem.
